Job summary

Arup in Amsterdam seeks an experienced Data Centres Project Lead to steer major multidisciplinary projects and shape our growth in the Dutch data centre market. You will cultivate senior client relationships, lead bids, and coordinate teams across locations, delivering sustainable, high-performance outcomes.

The role combines hands-on project leadership with strategic client engagement and market-facing activities, strengthening Arup’s position locally while linking to Europe and the global

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading multidisciplinary data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Experience managing project commercial performance, risk, quality, and client outcomes.
• A track record of building strong client relationships and identifying or developing new opportunities.
• Confidence working with senior clients, technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead major multidisciplinary data centre projects with accountability for client outcomes and commercial performance.
• Shape and deliver data centre growth strategy in the Netherlands, translating market insight into a focused pipeline of clients.
• Grow strategic client relationships and expand Arup’s role across the project lifecycle.
• Lead strategic pursuits and major bids from early positioning to conversion into work.
• Strengthen Arup’s Dutch data centre market position and connect local delivery with European and global expertise.
• Develop and mentor people while connecting Netherlands delivery with Arup’s wider network.
