Job summary

Global Switch is seeking a Project Manager to lead the safe and compliant delivery of data centre development and fit-out projects in Amsterdam. You will manage end-to-end delivery, control time, cost, quality, and risk while coordinating internal teams and external consultants to achieve operational readiness.

You will drive governance and reporting, ensure design and regulatory standards, and maintain strong commercial oversight to support growth and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex construction and fit-out projects in regulated environments.
• Strong grasp of safety, compliance, and project governance.
• Ability to manage contractors and coordinate internal teams.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Commercial awareness with cost control and scheduling focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee safety management through all project phases (construction, design, handover).
• Coordinate with M&E consultants and power authorities on design and implementation.
• Monitor development and manage Change Control Requests and variations.
• Manage internal fit-outs and project close-out for readiness.
• Collaborate with Construction Manager, Engineering Directors, Operations Managers.
• Lead external consultants to align with goals and timely outputs.
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, trackers, and reports.
• Assist in developing project briefs and consultant selection processes.
