Job summary

Savile Lloyd is seeking a Fit-Out Project Manager to lead a data centre data centre project in the Netherlands. You will oversee the entire fit-out lifecycle, coordinating planning, procurement, and handover while ensuring alignment with client objectives and Tier 1 standards.

Responsibilities include leading detailed schedules, managing subcontractors and suppliers, enforcing QA/QC, and liaising with clients, consultants, and design teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fit-out or project management role within data centre or commercial construction.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and coordination during fit-out phases.
• Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full fit-out project lifecycle of data centre construction, from planning and procurement through to completion and handover, ensuring alignment with client objectives, design intent, and Tier 1 industry standards.
• Lead project planning and scheduling for the fitout phase, developing and maintaining detailed programs, tracking milestones, and proactively mitigating risks or delays to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage all fitout subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring scope, cost, quality, and safety objectives are met, and coordinating interfaces between trades and disciplines.
• Implement robust quality assurance and control procedures to ensure all finishes, MEP coordination, and data centre-specific requirements (such as raised floors, containment, and white space environments) meet specified standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, design teams, and construction management, ensuring clear communication, timely reporting, and the successful delivery of project objectives.
• Collaborate closely with MEP, commissioning, and design teams to integrate fitout works into the overall project program, particularly in critical infrastructure and white space areas.
• Monitor and manage project budgets and financial performance, tracking variations, approving progress claims, and ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality or schedule.
• Ensure all fitout activities adhere to health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards, promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all site operations.
• Oversee and maintain all project documentation related to the fitout phase, including RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, risk registers, and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency throughout the project.
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing project outcomes, identifying lessons learned, and implementing best practices across future fit-out projects.
