Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an HSE Manager for a data centre project in the Netherlands. The role is freelance for 12 months+ with exposure to ISO standards and regulatory compliance.

You will lead health, safety and environmental activities on site, drive risk assessment and incident investigations, and support project teams with safe planning and execution of high-risk works. Strong stakeholder engagement with clients and regulators is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• HSE experience within data centres, construction, engineering, or other critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all health, safety and environmental activity across the data centre site.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch regulations, client standards and company policies.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and manage hazards.
• Support project teams with safe planning and execution of high-risk works.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring actions are implemented and closed out.
• Oversee contractor safety performance and promote best practice on site.
• Deliver safety briefings, inductions and ongoing HSE training.
• Track and report on HSE performance, trends and improvement actions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, site teams and regulatory bodies.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across the project.
