Job summary

ING in Amsterdam is offering an internship in the Data & Analytics Engineering team to support the Repo Scanner (Repo Radar) platform, analyzing repositories for tech usage, code quality, and dependencies. You will work on rule-based and agentic scanning, integrating workflows into ADO Pipelines, GitHub Agents, and GCP, and exploring GenAI-assisted tools to boost development productivity.

This role provides hands-on experience with Python data pipelines, Looker visualizations, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, software engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Python programming; familiarity with Java/Scala/JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control and repositories (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Interest in clean code, testing principles, and AI/LLM-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the Repo Scanner (Repo Radar) platform, focusing on rule-based and intelligent (agentic) repository scanning.
• Collaborate on integrating scanning workflows into ADO Pipelines, GitHub Agents, and GCP for automated, scalable execution.
• Explore GenAI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate implementation.
• Support repository onboarding, including access setup and metadata analysis in ING platforms.
• Build and improve data pipelines and a code catalog / data storage layer for analysis and reporting.
• Assist in designing dashboards and visualizations (Looker/Python-based) to present insights on tech landscape and GenAI usage.
