Job summary

IMPROVEN invites you to join as a Cyber Security Consultant. You will drive digital security at client sites, identify risks, implement controls, and raise awareness. You will translate complex topics into actionable guidance for boards and management.

You will work with privacy specialists, risk consultants and IT auditors to align policy, organisation and processes. This role combines consultancy, analysis and strategic advice to strengthen organisations’ digital resilience and governance

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in cyber security, privacy, IT risks or information security.
• Knowledge of security standards and laws (NIS2, DORA, ISO27001, NEN 7510, AVG).
• Ability to communicate clearly and bridge strategy, operations and governance.
• Ownership of risk analysis through governance and change management.
• Affinity with tooling such as Excel, Power BI, SQL or Python.

Responsibilities

• Advising on security governance, risk management and strategic security choices.
• Drafting and guiding security roadmaps aligned with organisational goals.
• Translating laws and regulations into clear frameworks and decision making.
• Conducting security or privacy risk assessments.
• Structuring roles, processes and awareness programmes.
• Guiding stakeholders and raising security awareness.
• Collaborating with privacy consultants, IT auditors and security teams.
• Contributing to development of propositions, security frameworks and knowledge sharing.
