Arvato in the Netherlands seeks a Customs Declarant to manage import/export declarations and ensure compliance within an international logistics setting.

You will support data collection, document validation, and liaison with authorities, carriers and customers while driving process improvements. The role requires accuracy, proactivity and flexibility in a two-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO level education required.
• Recognized customs qualification is a plus.
• Experience in customs or international logistics is beneficial.
• Solid knowledge of MS Office and data handling.
• Affinity with logistics processes and administrative work.
• Good command of English.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, process and verify import, export and transit customs declarations.
• Monitor and ensure documentation complies with current customs legislation.
• Collect and validate data required for declarations.

Job Description

Ready to take the next step in your career as a Customs Declarant within an international logistics environment? At our Consumer Products operation in Puttershoek, you will play an important role in ensuring smooth and compliant customs processes. As the operation continues to develop, we are looking to further structure and optimize our customs activities, creating opportunities to contribute your expertise and improve the way we work.

You will work in a dynamic supply chain environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are key. Together with your colleagues, you will help ensure that import, export and transit activities are handled efficiently and in compliance with all applicable customs legislation.

YOUR TASKS

• As a Customs Declarant, you are responsible for ensuring smooth customs operations and maintaining compliance with international customs regulations.
• Prepare, process and verify import, export and transit customs declarations;
• Monitor customs processes and ensure all documentation complies with current customs legislation;
• Collect and validate data required for customs declarations;
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate solutions with internal and external stakeholders;
• Support customs inspections, physical checks and audits;
• Maintain contact with customs authorities, carriers, customers and internal departments;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of customs processes within the operation.

YOUR PROFILE

• We are looking for an accurate and proactive professional who enjoys working in an international logistics environment.
• MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level;
• A recognized customs qualification is considered an advantage;
• Experience in customs or international logistics is a plus;
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
• Affinity with logistics processes and administrative work;
• Good command of the English language;
• Flexibility to work in a two-shift schedule, with the earliest start at 06:30 and the latest finish at 21:30 on weekdays;
• Availability to work on Saturdays.
