Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Nijmegen is seeking a Customer Service Representative to act as the first point of contact for clients. You will manage inquiries, plan orders, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.

You will work within a team of four direct colleagues and forty indirect colleagues at the Nijmegen Control Tower. The role requires 2+ years in a similar logistics/commerce position, MBO in Transport/Logistics, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational education (MBO) in transport/logistics or related field.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Experience in a commercial/logistics role is preferred (2+ years).
• Knowledge of transport flows and automated information systems is desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive and monitor inquiries, plan orders, enter data into the transport system, and verify documents.
• Plan orders and keep the customer informed about status updates.
• Identify issues with collections or deliveries and follow up with carriers.
• Provide ad-hoc information to customers as needed.
• Monitor client KPIs, inquiries, complaints, data, and agreements in the system.
• Create and organize client files for agreements and relevant documents.

Job description

At the CEVA Logistics Control Tower in Nijmegen, we manage and coordinate global transport flows for internationally operating clients. For the Customer Service Representative, this means that no two days are the same! In this role, you are the first point of contact for the client and you maintain daily contact. You exchange operational information with the client and internal colleagues. Together, you work towards providing the best possible service and create a workplace where every employee feels comfortable and has the opportunity to develop.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be doing the following:

• Receiving and monitoring the handling of inquiries and providing feedback. You plan orders and enter all required information into the transport system. Additionally, you ensure the processing and verification of all associated documents;
• Making sure that all orders are planned and that customer is informed about the latest state.
• Identify problems with collections or deliveries and then following up on them with the carrier;
• Providing ah-hoc information to the customer;
• Monitoring the client's KPIs, all inquiries, complaints, client data, and client agreements in the information system;
• Ensuring the creation and organization of client files regarding the agreements made and agreed upon.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

Your workplace is in Nijmegen, where we have the Control Tower for CEVA Benelux! There, you will become part of the Customer Service team, consisting of 4 direct colleagues and 40 indirect colleagues. Together, you ensure that shipments are delivered in time and that the customer is satisfied. You do this within a driven and professional atmosphere, where there is plenty of room for fun and connection! You report to the Contract Supervisor, and your working hours vary between 08:00 and 18:00.

• At least a completed MBO education, preferably in the field of Transport/Logistics;
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar commercial position (preferably in logistics services);
• Knowledge of transport and automated information systems;
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
