Job summary

DEPT® is embedding you within eBay’s in-house team to manage day-to-day social community activity and storytelling. The role focuses on authentic engagement, timely responses and proactive creator partnerships to keep eBay culturally relevant.

You will work across multiple platforms, monitor sentiment, and translate social insights into strategic actions while protecting the brand’s tone of voice. This fixed-term contract runs until 31 December 2026 with a strong chance of extension.

Qualifications

• Experience managing social communities for a major brand or agency.
• Hands-on experience across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit and emerging platforms.
• Exceptional copywriting skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice across channels.

Responsibilities

• Be the voice of eBay across our organic social channels—present, authentic and human.
• Monitor conversations, mentions and audience sentiment across social platforms.
• Write timely, engaging responses that build relationships and foster community.
• Proactively engage with creators, sellers, communities and relevant third parties.
• Identify opportunities to spark conversation and increase community participation.
• Schedule/Publish approved organic content across eBay UK and eBay Live UK social channels.
• Develop reactive social content in response to cultural moments, PR activity, breaking news and trending conversations.
