Job summary

NH Hotels & Resorts in Amsterdam is seeking a Kitchen Apprentice to learn hands-on cooking and hotel kitchen operations. You will support the F&B team in mise en place, breakfast service, and guest meals while adhering to brand standards and safety guidelines.

We value a proactive attitude, strong service mindset, and the ability to communicate in English and Dutch. This level 2–3 culinary study opportunity offers on-the-job training, with the Horeca CLA scale 1 starting salary and career growth

Qualifications

• Helping guests puts a big smile on your face.
• You are a hard worker with an eye for detail.
• You have a passion for food and you have a good command of the English and Dutch language.
• You are a student of a level 2 or 3 Intermediate Vocational Education culinary school or a similar study.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen and F&B service during breakfast and lunch shifts.
• Set up buffet and mise en place for service.
• Prepare simple dishes and assist chefs to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area.
