Job summary

Rijk Zwaan in the Netherlands seeks a Crop Coordinator to lead crop strategy and portfolio management across markets. You connect local crop organizations, breeding programs and the Strategic Crop Team to translate market insights into clear commercial directions.

You work with colleagues worldwide to drive product development for the Americas, manage Brassica accounts locally, and contribute to cross-functional projects. A permanent contract and international travel are included.

Qualifications

• A completed master's degree in agriculture, such as Horticulture or Biology.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, horticulture and/or product management.
• Solid knowledge of vegetable crops.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate crop strategy and portfolio plans across markets.
• Gather market and product insights with a network of crop specialists to inform strategies.
• Identify opportunities for new product development and advise on future directions.
• Act as the local client manager for Brassica accounts and lead value-adding local projects.

Your job at Rijk Zwaan!

As Crop Coordinator, you are the central link between the international and local crop organization, breeding programs and the Strategic Crop Team. You combine market insights with product knowledge and translate them into clear strategies. Working closely with colleagues worldwide, you play a key role in portfolio management and product development for the Americas.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Developing and coordinating the commercial introduction and trial plans per market segment, including sales objectives and forecasts for commercial and pre-commercial varieties
• Actively gathering market and product insights together with a strong network of crop specialists, contributing to commercial strategies and breeding policies
• Identifying opportunities for new product development
• Advising the Strategic Crop Team on current activities and future directions
• Acting locally as client manager for key Brassica accounts
• Leading special local projects that add value across the entire value chain, connecting crop and local organizations
