Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Critical Operations Technician II to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing equipment and controls inside and outside the building. You will monitor operations, test and analyze data, and support customers on the Data Center floor both in person and by phone.

On-site work is required to support a 24x7x365 environment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, ticketing, remote hands services, hardware/software support, and following

Qualifications

• Background in IT, electrical and/or mechanical
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Five or more of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency

Responsibilities

• Applies learning, knowledge, skills, and company policies to IT, electrical and mechanical equipment and operating systems
• Leads, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive maintenance on equipment; records readings and adjusts for proper operation
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers
• Provide high level computer hardware and software configuration support
• Install and service IT and electrical equipment as required; assist with major repairs
• Process work orders for maintenance on critical infrastructure
• Create/update tickets addressing customer calls and system alerts
• Operate and monitor critical system equipment for safe operation
• Respond to building emergencies and customer requests
• Comply with safety policies for hazardous materials
