Bayards Aluminium Constructions Group in Nieuw-Lekkerland seeks a Cost Proposal Engineer to join our tendering team. You ensure proposals are technically sound, commercially attractive, and aligned with client needs and Bayards interests, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement and Sales.

The role requires an HBO/Bachelor’s degree and proven cost estimation or tendering experience in technical projects, with strong analytical, communication, and cost-awareness skills in Dutch and English.

What will you do?

As a Cost Proposal Engineer, you play a crucial role in the tendering process. You ensure that our proposals are technically sound, commercially attractive, and aligned with both the client’s needs and Bayards Aluminium Solutions’ interests.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analysing project information to prepare quotations.
• Determining the most suitable construction method in consultation with Engineering.
• Requesting prices and quotations from Procurement.
• Calculating cost prices and preparing complete proposal packages.
• Coordinating with Sales and maintaining client contact when needed.
• Maintaining standard documentation, templates, and calculation systems.
• Identifying opportunities to optimise the proposal process.

What do you bring?

• A completed HBO (Bachelor’s) degree, preferably in a technical field.
• Proven and recent experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cost calculation or tendering processes in a technical/project-based environment.
• Strong analytical skills, sense of responsibility, and excellent communication abilities.
• A proactive attitude with attention to detail and cost awareness.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
