Job summary

bol is seeking a Controller for Strategic Finance to underpin strategic decisions with financial excellence. You will transform complex data into actionable insights, guide investment decisions, and influence mid-to-long-term plans with robust modeling and executive-ready storytelling.

You’ll lead the development of the long-term strategic plan, present analyses to senior management and the board, and manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely input for planning processes.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of finance experience, FP&A or management consulting background.
• Master’s degree in finance or related field.
• Strong modeling, storytelling and presentation skills.

The biggest challenge

Working towards long-term strategic goals while expertly handling high-pressure ad hoc requests. You will need to translate vast amounts of financial data into compelling ‘three-bullet stories’ that engage stakeholders at all levels, including the board. What you'll do as Controller of Strategic Finance

As part of the Business Planning team, you'll serve as a crucial link between detailed financial analysis and board-level decision-making. You translate our strategic ambitions into robust briefings and proposals, and report these to senior finance leadership. Your analyses directly influence investment decisions, operational strategies, and shareholder communications.

You will work on the development of our long-term strategic plan, diving deep into financial details before zooming out to craft a compelling narrative. Through sophisticated modeling and scenario analysis, you will provide insight in the effect of changing market circumstances and risks and opportunities on our mid to long term financial plan to deliver recommendations that resonate. Your presentations distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights – often in just a few powerful bullets. Working under pressure is part of the role – you will handle urgent ad hoc requests while maintaining focus on long-term strategic initiatives. You'll gather input from across the organization, ensuring all perspectives are captured on time and incorporated effectively. Your key responsibilities:
