Job summary

N-Sea Group is seeking a Contracts Manager Projects / Quantity Surveyor to support offshore projects through their lifecycle. You will ensure contractual compliance, manage commercial risks, and safeguard the company's interests while working with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide contractual and commercial support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and manage contractual, commercial, and legal risks.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project agreements.
  • Track milestones, deliverables and contractual deadlines.
  • Manage contract variations, change controls and authorisations.
  • Prepare and manage detailed claims for reimbursement and extensions of time.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes when required.
  • Advise on contractual matters and coordinate formal correspondence.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, partners, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support pre-contract activities including risk assessments and commercial strategy.

Job description

As a Contracts Manager Projects / Quantity Surveyor at N-Sea, you play a key role in supporting offshore projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance, managing commercial risks, and safeguarding the company's interests.

We are looking for a commercially minded professional with strong contract management and quantity surveying experience who can translate complex contractual requirements into practical project solutions. You work closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, providing contractual guidance while supporting successful project delivery.

You act as the go-to person within project teams for contractual compliance, claims management, variations, and legal matters. In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide contractual and commercial support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, assess, and manage contractual, commercial, and legal risks
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project agreements
  • Track key milestones, deliverables, and contractual deadlines
  • Manage contract variations, change controls, and additional work authorisations
  • Prepare and manage detailed claims for reimbursement and/or extensions of time
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes, including mediation, adjudication, and arbitration when required
  • Advise on contractual matters and coordinate the drafting and review of formal correspondence
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, partners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Support pre-contract activities, including risk assessments, commercial strategy development, and contractual reviews
  • Collaborate with legal, insurance, purchasing, and project teams to support project success
  • Guide and coach less experienced colleagues in contract administration and contract management
  • Support tendering activities, including negotiations with subcontractors and vendors
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management practices within the organisation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project and business performance
