Job summary

N-Sea Group is seeking a Project Controller to strengthen our Project control team in the Netherlands. You will act as the financial conscience and business partner of the project managers, ensuring transparency, control, and alignment with strategic objectives.

You will provide insights, analyses, and financial steering to support sound decision-making across operations, lead budgeting and forecasting for projects, and advise on performance, risks, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in a project-driven role.
• Strong Excel skills; IFS experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration ability.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Offshore experience is a plus.

• Provide financial control over the commercial projects.
• Set up robust financial reporting and deliver accurate management information.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, and review with project managers.
• Lead annual financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned projects.
• Serve as a financial sparring partner for project managers and teams.
• Advise stakeholders on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses, drive process improvements, and contribute to digitalization.
• Support strategic decision-making with high-quality financial insights.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and high standards within all financial processes.

As Project Controller, you will be the financial conscience and business partner of the business controller and project managers. You ensure that our projects, operational costs, and risk management are fully transparent, well-controlled, and aligned with our strategic and operational objectives. Working closely with the Project Management team, you provide insights, analyses, and financial steering that support sound decision-making across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial control over the commercial projects
• Set up robust financial reporting and deliver accurate management information to stakeholders
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, and review these with project manager
• Lead annual financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned projects
• Serve as a financial sparring partner for project managers and teams
• Advise stakeholders on financial performance, risks, and opportunities, including financing, guarantees, cash flow, and tax matters
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses, drive process improvements, and contribute to digitalization initiatives
• Support strategic decision-making by providing high-quality financial insights and analyses
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and high standards within all financial processes

Qualifications:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or a related field
• 1-5 years of experience in a similar role within a project-driven organization
• Strong skills in Excel; experience with IFS is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• A proactive, analytical mindset and the ability to maintain oversight in a dynamic environment
• Offshore experience is a plus
