Job summary

VistaPrint zoekt een Continuous Improvement Engineer voor onze productielocatie in Venlo. Je stimuleert technische en procesverbeteringen, werkt samen met productie en engineering om huidige operaties te analyseren, workflows te optimaliseren en best practices te implementeren.

Je houdt machines op peil, selecteert mogelijk nieuw equipment en ondersteunt onderhoudsstrategieën. Je coördineert projecten, leidt pilots en verzamelt objectieve data om resultaten te leveren.

Qualifications

• Een HBO-/bachelor diploma in Engineering, bij voorkeur in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in proces-, equipment- of industriële engineering.
• Ervaring met projectmanagement, statistische analyse, Six Sigma, FMEA en Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Leiden van projecten, monitoren en verbeteren van het productieproces.
• Inspecteren, analyseren en verbeteren van een divers machinepark (elektrisch en mechanisch).
• Samenwerken met leveranciers en stabiliseren van een nieuw machinepark.
• Ontwikkelen en implementeren kostenbesparende initiatieven en kwaliteitsverbeteringen.
• Ondersteunen van projecten bij installatie van nieuw equipment en productintroducties.
• Uitdagen van de status quo en vervolg met pilots en data-analyse.
• Nauwe samenwerking met Operations, Quality en Maintenance in Venlo en andere Engineering teams.

Our Team
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our VistaPrint manufacturing plant, you will drive technical and process improvements across the facility. Working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, you will partner with production and engineering teams to analyze current operations, optimize workflows, and implement best practices. You will also keep our machinery running at peak performance, help select new equipment, and support maintenance strategies. We are looking for an adaptable, decisive problem-solver who is driven to deliver real results.

What You Will Do

• Lead projects, monitor, evaluate, and improve the production process, support the development of new production processes and resolve existing problems within the current processes.
• Inspect, analyse, evaluate, optimise, upgrade and improve a very varied electronic and mechanical machine park.
• Collaborate with Chinese suppliers and stabilize a new machine park.
• Develop and implement initiatives which save costs, increase production and/or enhance quality.
• Support projects concerning the installation of new equipment and the introduction of new products.
• Challenge the status quo and follow up with running pilots and collecting objective data.
• Closely collaborate with the Operations, Quality and Maintenance teams in Venlo and the other Engineering teams.

Functie eisen

• A minimum HBO/bachelors degree in the field of Engineering, during which you gained knowledge of Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years experience with process, equipment or industrial engineering.
• Project management skills, knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, Six Sigma, FMEA and Lean Manufacturing.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principals.
• Ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels and positions within the organization.
• Proficiency in English language.

• An excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarinis highly desired.
