Position Summary: You will join a team of implementation professionals who get SPS Commerce customers live and keep them running. Day to day, that means completing post-sale technical implementations, diagnosing and resolving customer change events, and making sure everyone involved in a project always knows where it stands. We are hiring this role at two levels: Consultant II and Senior Consultant. The level is determined by the experience and capability a candidate demonstrates during the process, and it is not decided in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform post-sale initial technical implementation of technology products
- Execute installation, upgrades, testing, and system configuration to complete implementation projects
- Consult with clients to analyze and verify operational needs and to understand their business objectives and goals
- Track the progress of implementation projects, ensuring deadlines are met and scheduling issues are resolved
- Keep customers and other stakeholders informed of project progress
- Apply, test, and reconfigure data rules to produce the required results
- Consultant II: Work under moderate supervision, with some latitude for independent judgment
- Facilitate problem research, isolation, diagnosis, resolution, and follow-up for customer change events
- Contribute to developing standardized solutions for customers
- Escalate events appropriately when they fall outside your scope
- Senior Consultant: Own support instances that require partner involvement, acting as the escalation point between the client and the SPS partner
- Work directly with third parties, consultants, VARs, and adapter or application providers
- Take on complex work of high importance to the organization
- Maintain deep industry-specific business knowledge, staying current with emerging products and technical updates
Required Qualifications
- For Consultant II:
- A bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects concurrently
- The ability to apply, test, and reconfigure data rules to produce the intended result
- ERP knowledge, good communicator, problem solver

- Understanding of EDI and supply chain is nice to have
- For Senior Consultant:
- A bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Proven experience with EDI and supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while taking initiative and setting priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Three or more years in account management, relationship management, product management, or a comparable field
- ERP knowledge, good communicator, problem solver
- Strong relationship-building skills, including over the phone
- Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities

- Exposure to third parties, consultants, VARs, or adapter and application providers
- Familiarity with XML
- Experience with text editing and data mapping tools, and in-depth knowledge of mapping tool functionality
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- A balanced mix of skills: driver and facilitator, tactical leader and doer
Location: This role is in our Breukelen office, Netherlands, and the team is in-office 2 days per week.
