Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Construction Methods Engineer to support major energy projects based in Rotterdam. The role is a 12-month contract with potential for extension, working Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week, with hybrid work 3 days per week in the Rotterdam office.

The engineer will implement and optimize construction methods, standards and know-how to ensure efficiency, quality and safety during planning, engineering and execution of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, materials and HSSE regulations.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver construction methodologies tailored to project requirements and schedules.
• Address and resolve construction challenges using constructability principles.
• Provide technical expertise on construction techniques to project/site teams and ensure best practices.
• Maintain records of construction methods, changes and lessons learned for future reference.
• Contribute to department improvement programs through analyses, workshops, and standards development.

We're recruiting for a Construction Methods Engineer to support major energy projects based in Rotterdam. Our client is a leading in Oil & Gas floating technologies company with some massive projects starting up.

This is an initial 12 month contract with potential for extension long-term. Mon-Fri, 40hrs per week, hybrid working 3 days per week in the Rotterdam office.

Purpose

The Construction Methods Engineer is responsible for implementing and optimizing construction methods, standards, best practices and know how to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety during the planning, engineering and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Your responsibilities include delivering construction methodologies tailored to project requirements, considering factors such as materials, site conditions, and project requirements and schedule.
• You address and resolve construction challenges, applying constructability principle to find effective solutions.
• You participate to provide solid technical expertise on construction techniques to the project / site team, ensuring best practices are followed.
• You maintain comprehensive records of construction methods, changes, outcomes and Lessons Learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
• You participate to department improvement program, through cross analyses, workshops, reporting and/or Construction Methods standards development.

Education

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience with knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and HSSE regulations, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including proficiency in construction management software and tools.
