Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to support major international energy projects, focusing on marine, offshore fabrication and shipyard environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer within a Project Management environment.
• Oil & Gas industry experience is essential.
• Experience working within marine, offshore fabrication, shipyard, offshore construction or similar project environment.
• Strong understanding of project planning, coordination, reporting and delivery process.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• Experience contractor and supplier interface management.
• Cost control and budget management.
• Risk management and mitigation planning.
• Negotiation and third-party relationship management.
• Experience using project management tools and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination and execution of project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets alongside Project Manager.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, suppliers and other project disciplines.
• Manage project interfaces and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders.
• Support project delivery, package management and change management activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and support corrective actions to maintain project milestones.
• Review technical documentation, specifications, reports and project deliverables.
• Support technical evaluations, feasibility studies and project risk assessment.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, safety regulations and company procedure.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and third parties to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide coordination and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams throughout execution.
