Job summary

ISS International Spa is seeking a Construction Manager to be based at the biorefinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The role requires organizing and leading site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and the Client, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications while promoting schedule discipline.

Starting October 2026 for a 6-month term, with 10 hours a day, five days a week. The remuneration is €70,000–€80,000 gross per year, with potential travel allowances.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead weekly meetings with discipline Subcontractors.
• Participate in construction meetings with the Client.
• Promote field revisions of the detailed Construction Schedule.
• Verify works comply with technical specifications.
• Coordinate material delivery schedules to optimize progress.
• Prepare detailed schedules with Site Control Manager and set priorities.
• Ensure schedules are kept and implement recovery plans if delays occur.
• Coordinate site activities across disciplines to minimize overlaps.
• Assist Supervisors with subcontracts, extra-works and changes.
• Align construction with plant pre-commissioning with the Commissioning Manager.
• Prepare routine work progress reports.
• Perform discipline quality inspections per Inspection Plan with QAE.
• Ensure implementation of the HSE management system at site.

Job description

ISS International Spa is looking for a Construction Manager to be based at biorefinery in Rotterdam (Netherlands).

Main Responsibilities:

• To organize and lead, along with the relevant Superintendent/Supervisors, weekly meetings with the discipline Subcontractors;
• To participate to construction meeting with the Client;
• To promote Field revisions of the detailed Construction Schedule;
• To verify congruity of the works with technical specification;
• To verify material delivery schedule to coordinate construction activities and optimize the relevant schedule;
• With the collaboration of the Site Control Manager, to prepare detailed schedules and define priorities;
• To check that schedules are kept to and to promote recovery plans in case of delay;
• To coordinate all site activities, and interfaces between Disciplines, with the aim of limiting work overlaps;
• To assist and co-operate with the Supervisors in the ordinary management of subcontracts, in defining extra-works and in the execution of changes during the works;
• Together with the Commissioning Manager, to ensure congruence between the completion of Construction and Plant Pre-Commissioning;
• To collaborate with the Contract Engineer in preparing changes and claims;
• To prepare his own section of routine work progress reports;
• To perform discipline quality inspection according to the Inspection Plan and procedures in liaison with the QAE.
• To ensure the implementation of the HSE management system at site with reference to their area of operation.
