Job summary

Scitech-EKIUM is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site construction and renovation efforts in Leiden for pharmaceutical infrastructure projects.

You will own on-site activities, coordinate with contractors and engineering teams, and ensure safety, quality and GMP/HSE compliance throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing construction projects within a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong background in construction coordination, contractor management, site supervision and HSE.
• Experience with work permit systems and LOTOTO procedures.
• Experience with laboratory renovations and clean utilities is a plus.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Construction Manager to join our team in Leiden, supporting challenging construction and renovation projects within the pharmaceutical industry.

In this role, you will take ownership of on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with contractors, engineering teams and client stakeholders in a dynamic, GMP-regulated environment, contributing to the successful delivery of critical pharmaceutical infrastructure.

• Experience with work permit systems and LOTOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out) procedures.
• Experience with laboratory renovations and clean utilities is considered a plus.
• Experience in project management is an advantage.
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and stakeholders in an operational pharmaceutical environment.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
