Job summary

X4 Engineering is seeking a hands-on Construction Manager to lead site delivery on large-scale data centre projects across the Netherlands and Belgium. You will own groundworks, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete packages, directing site teams, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver safely, on programme and to a high standard.

This field-based leadership role requires strong contractor experience, expert knowledge of heavy civils, and excellent communication in Dutch or French plus

Qualifications

• Experience managing groundworks, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete.
• Contractor-side construction management on data centres or heavy civils.
• Experience overseeing rebar installation and large concrete pours.
• Temporary Works management in line with procedures.
• Strong plant logistics and site HSEQ background.

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead site delivery on large-scale data centre projects across the Netherlands and Belgium.

This is a field-based leadership role. The successful candidate will take ownership of the groundworks, drainage, utilities and reinforced concrete packages, managing site teams, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver safely, on programme and to a high standard.

Key experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong track record in contractor-side construction management, ideally on data centres or heavy civils projects
• Expert technical knowledge of deep drainage, utility networks and reinforced concrete
• Experience overseeing rebar installation and large concrete pours
• Proven experience managing Temporary Works in line with company procedures
• A solid background in plant logistics and site HSEQ
• Experience leading safe systems of work, daily briefings and safety inspections
• The ability to manage subcontractor performance and resolve production delays on site
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Fluent Dutch or French, plus fluent English (essential)
• Willingness to work under a Dutch employment contract
