Job summary

g2 Recruitment seeks a commissioning engineer with a solid Electrical / Power background and a minimum of three years in commissioning. You will handle MV design tasks for substations, grid connections, transformers and switchgear, and work with Siemens Protection Relays and SCADA interfaces.

The role involves supervising MV/LV installation works, testing and energisation activities, and ensuring compliance with grid requirements and project specs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical / Power Engineer by degree standard or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience as a commissioning engineer.
• Experience with Siemens Protection Relays.
• Knowledge of MV/LV equipment including transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and SCADA interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning engineering duties for MV design in substations, grid connections, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.

Requirements to be considered

• You must be a qualified Electrical / Power Engineer by degree standard or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience working as a commissioning engineer.
• Experience with Siemens Protection Relays.
• Knowledge of MV/ LV equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection relays and SCADA interfaces.
• English communication skills to C1+ level for documentation and stakeholder interaction across multi‑national teams.
