Job summary

Staffice zoekt een commerciële hefboom voor internationaal vervoer (lucht/zee) die prijsaanvragen beoordeelt en nauwkeurige tariefvoorstellen opstelt. Je stemt logistieke schema's af met operationele teams en onderhoudt contacten met klanten en leveranciers om kansen te grijpen en accounts te beheren.

Je voert taken uit zoals het berekenen van prijsstructuren, offertes, advies over routes en samenwerkingen met interne afdelingen.

Qualifications

• Engels vlot beheersen.
• Praktische, commerciële mindset.
• Ervaring met pricing of inside sales binnen freight forwarding.

Responsibilities

• Prijsstructuren berekenen en offertes uitbrengen voor lucht- en zeevracht.
• Commercial proposals opvolgen en prijsafspraken sluiten.
• Klanten adviseren over efficiënte logistieke routes en opties.
• Overleggen met operationele afdelingen om klantvereisten af te stemmen.
• Relaties onderhouden met internationale leveranciers en klanten.
• Freight market trends monitoren om tarieven competitief te houden.
• Commerciële bestanden bewaken van aanvraag tot afhandeling.

In this role, you drive the commercial activities for international air and ocean transport. You start your workday reviewing price requests and calculating accurate rate proposals for your clients. Next, you align logistics schedules with operational teams to ensure efficient transport execution. Throughout the day, you maintain active contact with clients and global suppliers to capture new commercial opportunities and manage accounts effectively.

Tasks

• Calculating pricing structures and issuing quotes for air and ocean freight
• Following up on commercial proposals and closing pricing agreements
• Advising clients on efficient logistics routes and transport options
• Consulting with operational departments to align customer requirements
• Managing relationships with international suppliers and existing clients
• Monitoring freight market trends to keep rates competitive
• Safeguarding the commercial file from inquiry through to final handling

We are looking for

• 2 to 3 years of experience in an operational logistics setting
• Strong commercial orientation and a practical work mindset
• Experience with pricing or inside sales within freight forwarding
• Fluent command of English; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage
• Available to start working in October
