Job summary

Global Switch in Amsterdam is seeking a Commercial Manager, Delivery to oversee the commercial and procurement facets of complex construction projects. You will drive risk assessments, optimise contracts, and guide value-driven procurement decisions to maximise profitability.

Collaborating with project leads, consultants, and contractors, you will manage budgets, cash flow, and change control, ensuring timely, accurate commercial reporting and governance alignment across the programme.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles including cost planning and value engineering.
• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement frameworks.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement best-practice solutions.
• Accurate cost analysis, contract review and compliance checks.
• Ability to take responsibility for commercial deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Decision-making under pressure and proactive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial and contractual aspects throughout tenders and contracts.
• Conduct risk assessments and pricing of technical and commercial risks.
• Refine procurement strategies post-award to improve outcomes.
• Review project scope, interfaces and contract conditions before tendering.
• Prepare approvals and supporting schedules for stakeholders.
• Monitor design and delivery performance of consultants and contractors.
• Maintain control over budgets to maximise profitability.
• Manage change control processes and ensure proper approvals.
• Support contractor and consultant selection and performance reviews.
