Job summary

Nedstar, an Amsterdam-based international trading company, is seeking a Business Controller with 3–7 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis or business controlling. You will turn data into actionable insights to support traders, management and the CFO in decision-making.

In a small, entrepreneurial team you will partner across trading, logistics and finance, develop AI-powered reporting, and build models for planning, forecasting and investment appraisal.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, business analysis or business controlling.
• Able to translate data into a clear story for non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-starting and able to build AI-driven solutions.
• Comfortable in a small, international, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, actionable management reports and KPI analyses for CFO, management and traders.
• Translate trading data into commercial insights: margins, deal performance, risk exposures.
• Build scenario models and sensitivity analyses for planning and decision-making.
• Contribute to business case development and investment appraisal.
• Prepare management and stakeholder reporting that is reliable and decision-ready.
• Collaborate with trading, logistics and finance to drive performance.
• Proactively build and optimize AI-powered reporting flows and financial models.
• Identify gaps in data quality and improve reporting processes.
