Job summary

PPG is seeking a Colour Services Manager Benelux & Tinting Expert to lead the Benelux Colour Services, drive training, field support and customer-tinting issue resolution across AC Benelux, Industry and PMC Global. You will proactively contribute to EMEA tinting projects and collaborate with the CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA.

You will build strategic plans, manage dispensers/software improvements, and coach a local team to achieve high service standards and cost efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree or technical HBO level qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of technical and/or business experience in B2B or consumer environments.
• Knowledge of tinting solutions or related process technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Local (Benelux) Colour Services with cost control and performance oversight.
• Direct the Benelux Colour team to meet productivity, quality and targets.
• Foster a culture aligned with PPG values and strategic objectives.
• Develop a yearly Colour Services activity plan aligned with local Benelux plan.
• Support the Global PMC tinting plan and dispenser-related enhancements.
• Create a 3-year strategic plan and annual activity plan for AC Benelux Colour Services.
• Collaborate with CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA on software/tools development and deployment.
• Coach and develop staff, ensuring career development opportunities.
• Establish controls to monitor performance, financials and operations; report to Benelux leadership.
• Promote safety and a compliant, clean working environment.

Job Purpose

Locally you will lead the Colour Services department Benelux in the consistent delivery of colour expertise, training, field support, and exceptional customer services in the effective investigation and resolution of all customer-tinting concerns for AC Benelux, Industry and PMC Global. Covering all internal and external customers, across all our brands and channels of business, including private label business. Being pro-active and drive training & service improvements together with sales and marketing. As Tinting expert, you will be pro-actively involved in EMEA colour, tinting and software projects. Working close with the CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA. Supporting the defined EMEA scaled projects with your (or the team) technical expertise to ensure it will add value, differentiate our Tinting offer, fit for market and drives operational efficiency.

What will you do?

• Manage Local (Benelux) Colour Services, structural and operational costs
• Lead the local (Benelux) Colour team to meet all organizational and departmental current and future expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment.
• Consciously create a workplace and team culture that is consistent with PPG’s overall and that encourages the achievement of the mission, vison and values of the organization.
• Develop a yearly Colour Services activity plan in line with the defined local Benelux Business plan.
• Evaluate, agree and support the Global PMC tinting plan.
• Manage and support development (adjustments of) dispensers and dispenser related hard- & software in order to improve customer satisfaction, to reduce costs and to bring innovations in time to market for AC Benelux, Industry and PMC Global.
• Develop and implement a 3-year strategic plan and a yearly activity plan for the AC Benelux Colour Services.
• Together with your team, work closely with the CoE Lead Colour & Tinting EMEA to support the successful development, testing, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of new and existing dispenser software, dispensing machines, color tools, processes to colleagues and customers to achieve maximum benefit/sales/growth in line with Marketing and Commercial strategies.
• Create a succession plan for the Benelux - Coach, mentor and develop staff - providing career development planning and opportunities
• Establish and manage relevant controls and measures to monitor the performance, physical and financial operation of the team and its activities and identify improvements and efficiencies. Regularly report these to the Benelux leadership team.
• Promote safe working and best practice and ensure that health and safety policies are adhered to and that the department and areas of operation are maintained as a safe clean working environment

What do you bring?

• Bachelor's degree, Technical HBO degree, or equivalent academic qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of technical and/or business experience within a business-to-business and/or consumer environment.
• Knowledge of tinting solutions or related process technologies.
