Job summary

Haskoning, in collaboration with Delta Marine Consultants, offers a coastal engineering graduation internship focused on toe stability of Xbloc armour. You will perform 2D physical model tests in a wave flume and compare results with literature to deepen understanding and inform practical coefficients.

You are a Master’s student in Hydraulic/Coastal Engineering, able to spend weeks in Gouda and work from Delft/Amersfoort/Rotterdam offices.

Qualifications

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Interest in coastal and hydraulic engineering.
  • Ability to translate theory to practical testing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 2D physical model tests on toe stability in a wave flume.
  • Analyse results and compare with literature and empirical data.
  • Investigate effects of toe width and toe level on Xbloc toe stability.
  • Present findings and propose practical insights for engineering applications.
