Job summary

Haskoning in Gouda offers a coastal engineering graduation internship in collaboration with Delta Marine Consultants. You will conduct 2D physical model tests on Xbloc toe stability, with hands-on experience in a wave flume and real-world applications.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s programme in Hydraulic Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Able to spend multiple weeks in Gouda conducting the physical model tests
  • Able to work regularly from the offices in Delft and/or Amersfoort and/or Rotterdam
  • Must be enrolled at a Dutch university (WO) during the entire duration of the internship

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 2D physical model tests on toe stability to investigate the influence of toe width and toe level
  • Analyse and interpret results and compare them to literature values
  • Perform a literature study on toe stability
  • Report findings and potential adjustments to coefficients for practical use
