Job summary

HTM Bies is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our Marum, Oosterwolde and Heerenveen locations. You will set up, program and operate CNC lathes, ensuring parts meet exact dimensions and tolerances while selecting tooling and optimizing production strategies.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, monitor processes, adjust programs as needed, and maintain high quality and efficiency. You report to the CNC Turning Team Leader and contribute to on-time delivery of precision components.

Qualifications

• A completed technical MBO level 3 or 4 qualification.
• Experience as a CNC Turner is an advantage.
• Experience with Okuma or Fanuc controls is an advantage.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• A strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• A precise way of working and a good understanding of dimensional tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC turning machines based on technical drawings.
• Determine efficient production strategy and select tooling.
• Monitor turning operations and adjust programs or settings as needed.
• Inspect dimensions, tolerances and surface quality and ensure on-spec parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of machines and workspace.
• Report to the CNC Turning Team Leader.

Job description

Are you technically skilled, accurate and passionate about precision machining? HTM Bies is looking for a CNC Turner for our locations in Marum, Oosterwolde and Heerenveen.

As a CNC Turner, you independently set up, program and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality precision components. Based on technical drawings and specifications, you ensure that the components you produce meet the required dimensions, tolerances and quality standards.

This is what your working day looks like

As a CNC Turner, you manage the machining process from preparation through to final inspection. You determine the most efficient production strategy, select the correct tooling and program the required turning operations. You set up the CNC lathe and monitor the production process to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.

During machining, you regularly check dimensions, tolerances and surface quality against the technical drawing. When necessary, you adjust the programme or machine settings to achieve the required specifications.

You work with a variety of materials and take responsibility for the efficient use of machines, tooling and raw materials. You also ensure that your machine and workplace remain clean and properly maintained. Your focus is on delivering high-quality components correctly and on schedule.

You will report directly to the CNC Turning Team Leader.
