Job summary
GKN Aerospace is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team in Papendrecht to strengthen measurement and inspection capabilities. You will lead CMM programming and inspection strategy development for high-precision landing gear components, interfacing with manufacturing, quality and engineering to ensure first-pass yield and compliance with aerospace standards.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will implement robust measurement solutions, document products, and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CMM programming experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
- ZEISS Calypso certification is a plus.
- Solid GD&T knowledge per ISO & ASME standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing or related engineering.
- Experience with measurement systems and production inspection processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CMM programs (ZEISS Calypso) per ISO/ASME standards.
- Define and implement measurement/inspection strategies for complex components.
- Prepare and manage inspection/product documentation for manufacturing.
- Analyze measurement data to improve process capability and product quality.
- Support resolution of non-conformances and apply RCA/ corrective actions.
- Contribute to Lean and Zero Defect Manufacturing initiatives.
- Support FAI, industrialization and process validation activities.
- Collaborate with production, quality and external suppliers.
