Job summary

Prime Vision in Arlington, VA is seeking a Medior Software Engineer to contribute to a large-scale AWS-based sorting platform used by postal operators. You will write robust TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, deploy via CI/CD, and help evolve a Kubernetes/ AWS serverless architecture.

You join a small agile team of 3-4 developers and 1 QA engineer, collaborating across teams to deliver a reliable, scalable cloud solution with a focus on data security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cloud Software Engineer or similar role.
• Experience developing software using TypeScript, with an interest in scalable solutions.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Cloud Development.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience is a plus (S3, EKS, Lambda, IAM).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge deploying infrastructure with CDK and Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Octopus).
• Knowledge of domain-driven design and microservices is an advantage.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Full professional fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• You will contribute to development and maintenance of a large-scale distributed system for logistics.
• You will deploy software to test, acceptance, and production in AWS using CI/CD and QA processes.
• You will provide technical support to clients for questions and incidents.
• You will work in an agile team of 3-4 developers and 1 QA engineer and contribute to scalable product.
• You will help design solutions for Kubernetes and AWS serverless compatibility.
• You will collaborate with other teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient cloud solutions.
