Doghouse Recruitment is seeking an infrastructure engineer to own the Azure landing zones and automation for business-critical environments across logistics, finance, retail and the public sector. You’ll design, build, and migrate landing zones, networks, and identity boundaries, writing Terraform or Bicep to make deployments repeatable.
The role requires 4+ years in infrastructure, strong networking/compute/storage knowledge, and production Terraform/Bicep with PowerShell or Python.
A landing zone that has to hold for the next ten years. A network that reaches back into a data centre nobody wants to talk about. And a mandate to automate the lot.
My client runs business critical infrastructure for large organisations across logistics, finance, retail and the public sector. Each client environment belongs to one dedicated team that designs it, builds it and then keeps it running for years, with the technical mandate sitting inside the team rather than above it. The work covers both ends of the spectrum, from greenfield Azure platforms to decades of legacy infrastructure being migrated one application at a time. You join one of those teams alongside other infrastructure and automation engineers.
Your focus is the infrastructure layer of Azure and the automation around it. You design and build landing zones, network topology, identity boundaries, compute and storage, then you write the Terraform or Bicep that makes it repeatable. A good part of the work is migration, so you will sit with the client’s own teams to work out what an application actually needs before it moves. After that you run it. Monitoring, pipelines, incidents, and the slow grind of removing manual steps until there are none left.
Up to €100K gross per year on target, plus a car. A permanent contract from the start. Hybrid, so roughly half your week from home and the rest from the office in Amsterdam or Rotterdam or at the client site. Budget for certification and training, and the time to actually use it.
