Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is helping a leading AWS consultancy recruit a Principal/Senior AWS Consultant for the Utrecht area. The role focuses on AWS architecture, migration, and automation, with a strong emphasis on delivering client-focused, strategic guidance.

You will work within a team of senior engineers and architects, shaping solutions, choosing approaches, and driving outcomes for Dutch top-100 clients and fintechs. Flexible work-from-home is supported within a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior AWS experience including architecture, migrations, and automation pipelines.
• Strong automation skills in two or more of Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
• One or more AWS Professional or Specialty certifications.
• Ability to advise clients strategically and coach junior/medior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead AWS engineering and architectural engagements for Dutch clients.
• Design and implement automated AWS solutions and migrations.
• Advise clients on best-fit AWS patterns and roadmaps, mentoring peers and juniors.

We're hiring on behalf of the Netherlands' leading AWS consultancy for a Senior AWS Consultant who's just as obsessed with AWS as the rest of the team. This company is an AWS Premier Partner and consults exclusively on AWS; no GCP, no Azure, AWS through and through. That focus translates into an exceptionally short line to AWS itself: first access to new features, trainings, and a direct relationship with AWS specialists.

You’ll join a team of like-minded people for whom AWS isn't just work, but a shared passion. You’ll work on challenging, complex projects for Dutch top-100 companies, fintech players and scale-ups, sparring daily with other senior engineers and architects at your level. Requirements:

• Extensive, demonstrable senior experience with AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture (implementing complex services, migrations, automated pipelines);
• Strong automation skills in at least two of the following: Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible;
• One or more AWS certifications at Professional or Specialty level;
• You're able to advise clients strategically and coach junior/medior colleagues.
