Job description

We are looking for hands‑on Azure Architects.

My client is an international consultancy company spread over 10 hubs in Europe and they are triple certified across Azure, GCP, and AWS. They specialize in Delivering Cloud‑native services and are responsible for more than 1.000 successful Cloud projects.

Their Dutch office is located in Amsterdam and has a team of 150 employees right now. So, no big corporate environments but smaller teams with a scale‑up mentality where you can bring a real impact on projects. The Dutch office houses multiple high‑level architects as well as tech leads on different technologies. That is why they are involved in the company’s most complex projects as well process development that has a global impact.

In traditional Architect roles, you will focus on Design and Stakeholder management and leave the building to the Engineers. As an Azure Architect at this firm, you will stay at least some part hands‑on (at least 20%, and up to 60%) and will be part of individual as well as team projects. These projects are end‑to‑end projects where you will be involved from start/strategy to hands‑on building the solutions. Together with your team, you will create the runbooks for the managed services, but the daily operations are done by another team.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience designing and building Azure solutions
• Experience with at least 2 of the following automation tools/languages: Terraform, ARM-templates, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure-DevOps, Chef, Puppet, Ansible
• Strong communication and experience with stakeholder management
• Big plus: experience with Kubernetes, Security and/or Networking

Salary: up to 110k base + secondary package

Location: Amsterdam area, hybrid working
