As we expand our footprint across the Benelux region, we are seeking a passionate and high-performing Clinical Application Specialist to join our growing European team.
Position Overview
As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will serve as the primary clinical expert bridging our advanced robotic technology with surgeons, operating room (OR) teams, and hospital administration. You will play a pivotal role in driving product adoption through high-impact product demonstrations, hands-on simulator and wet-lab training, intraoperative case support, and hosting key clinical visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Case Support & Guidance: Provide expert intraoperative technical and clinical support to surgeons and OR staff during robotic procedures.
- Product Demonstrations & Hands‑on Training: Plan and execute product demonstrations, simulator training workshops, and wet‑lab sessions for surgical teams (Urology, Gynecology, General/HPB, Thoracic, etc.).
- HQ & Lighthouse Site Engagement: Coordinate and host key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital executives, and clinical visitors during visits to corporate headquarters, training centers, and Lighthouse reference sites.
- Customer Onboarding & Education: Lead full onboarding programs for newly installed robotic platforms, ensuring surgical teams are confident and proficient.
- Exhibition & Event Support: Represent Edge Medical B.V. at regional congresses, clinical symposia, and industry exhibitions across the Benelux.
- Clinical Feedback Loop: Collect structured feedback from surgeons and clinical teams to collaborate closely with R&D, product marketing, and global support teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Location: Based in the Netherlands or Belgium (willingness to travel within the Benelux region and occasionally internationally).
- Clinical / Technical Background: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Life Sciences, or equivalent clinical experience.
- Strong foundation in Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS), laparoscopic instrumentation, or surgical robotics.
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Clinical Specialist, Application Specialist, or OR Nurse / Surgical Technologist specializing in MIS or Surgical Robotics.
- Deep understanding of operating room workflows, sterile techniques, and surgical team dynamics.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (French fluency is a strong plus for Belgium/Wallonia coverage).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; high adaptability and customer-centric mindset.
