Job summary

The Maples Group is seeking a Client Accountant in Amsterdam to support the Fiduciary department. You will handle routine accounting mandates and administer a portfolio of clients under the guidance of VPs and SVPs.

The role requires accounting experience in financial services, knowledge of Dutch GAAP/IFRS, and fluent English. The office operates in a hybrid model with opportunities for growth and development within a global firm.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Trust/Fiduciary or financial services company.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• Fluent English required; Dutch language is an advantage.
• Willing to learn and develop in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contact with asset/investment managers, trustees, banks and other stakeholders to obtain reporting information.
• Liaise with tax advisors, auditors and authorities.
• Assist with managing portfolios, deadlines and quality of work.
• Keep up to date with local Dutch GAAP and IFRS guidelines.
• Bookkeeping, prepare management accounts and financial statements as per Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Support audit tails and audit processes.
• Develop effective client relationships and respond to requests promptly.
• Review client payments and monitor receivables.
