Job summary

Sire Search is seeking an experienced Head of Data Governance and Data Architecture to lead the development and execution of governance strategies. You will guide a multidisciplinary team to establish a scalable, trustworthy data landscape that supports responsible AI initiatives and compliance.

The role focuses on aligning governance with AI and business objectives, working with senior stakeholders, and ensuring governance-driven data architecture across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Must have led data governance and data architecture initiatives.
• Strong understanding of metadata, data quality, and lifecycle controls.
• Experience supporting AI governance and responsible data use.
• Ability to guide teams and stakeholders strategically.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team implementing data governance frameworks across the organization.
• Develop governance foundations to ensure data is defined, owned, traceable, and high quality.
• Connect governance with AI governance needs: ownership, lifecycle, metadata, lineage, quality, oversight.
• Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, AI Leads, Business Owners, Data Management, and Legal teams.
• Ensure data architecture supports governance outcomes and enterprise standards.
• Oversee data architecture and modelling to support governance objectives.
• Drive transformation from fragmented data practices to transparent, scalable governance environment.
• Lead a team with expertise in governance, metadata, data quality, business analysis, and modelling.
