Job summary

JPGray - Netherlands is seeking an experienced Global Category Manager Professional Services to oversee a strategic portfolio including Legal Services, Consultancy and Professional Services. You will manage an annual category spend over $100 million, driving commercial value, supplier performance and alignment with business priorities across a global organisation.

This role offers autonomy and visibility across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Technology, Risk and executives.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management.
• Strong Professional Services, Consultancy, Legal Services or Financial Services procurement expertise.
• Proven track record managing complex sourcing events and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute category strategies across Legal, Consultancy and Professional Services.
• Manage sourcing projects, renewals, supplier selection processes and contract negotiations.
• Drive measurable savings, cost avoidance and operational efficiencies.
• Lead strategic supplier relationship management and governance programmes.
• Implement benchmarking and rate-card optimisation initiatives.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement and business leaders to align sourcing strategies with business priorities.
• Monitor supplier performance, risk exposure and contractual compliance.
• Ensure continuity of procurement activities and deliver structured handovers where required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Global Category Manager Professional Services to oversee a strategic portfolio covering Legal Services, Consultancy and Professional Services.

Managing an annual category spend exceeding $100 million, you will be responsible for maintaining category continuity, driving commercial value, strengthening supplier performance and supporting business stakeholders across a global organisation.

This role operates as an experienced individual contributor with significant autonomy and visibility across Procurement, Legal, Finance, Technology, Risk and executive stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Own and execute category strategies across Legal, Consultancy and Professional Services
• Manage sourcing projects, renewals, supplier selection processes and contract negotiations
• Drive measurable savings, cost avoidance and operational efficiencies
• Lead strategic supplier relationship management and governance programmes
• Implement benchmarking and rate-card optimisation initiatives
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement and business leaders to align sourcing strategies with business priorities

What You Bring

• 8-12+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category Management
• Strong Professional Services, Consultancy, Legal Services or Financial Services procurement expertise
• Proven track record managing complex sourcing events and commercial negotiations
• Experience owning large category spends in multinational environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities across senior business leadership
• Supplier governance and contract management experience
• Demonstrated delivery of cost savings, risk reduction and service improvements
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced and complex environment

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience within a multinational or matrix organisation
• CIPS, CPSM or equivalent procurement certification
• Knowledge of Legal Services procurement models
• Experience working across EMEA, APAC and North America
• Familiarity with rate-card management and Statement of Work (SoW) governance
