Are you ready to take the next step as a Category Buyer within an international and fast-growing logistics organization?

As a Category Buyer at Arvato in Heijen, you’ll play a key role in optimizing indirect procurement categories and building strategic supplier partnerships. You combine commercial insight, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills to create long-term value within a dynamic high-tech logistics environment. You’ll work in one of Europe’s most advanced logistics centers, where innovation, automation, and continuous improvement are at the core of our operations. Together with Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders, you’ll contribute to procurement excellence and business growth.

Your Tasks

As a Category Buyer, you are responsible for managing multiple indirect procurement categories and driving sourcing strategies that support operational excellence and cost efficiency. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers in an international environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories;


• Lead RFQs, supplier negotiations, and contract management;


• Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement optimizations;


• Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships;


• Support procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives.

You’ll be part of the Procurement team and collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and various functional departments.

• A gross monthly salary between €3,028 and €5,752 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience;

Your Profile

We’re looking for a proactive Category Buyer who enjoys working in a dynamic international environment and knows how to combine commercial thinking with strong stakeholder management.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar;


• Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience;


• Strong analytical and negotiation skills;


• Experience with supplier management and sourcing processes;


• Excellent communication skills in English;


• Strong Excel skills and affinity with procurement systems.
