Job summary

Blue Lynx is representing a leading Dutch organisation, seeking a Buyer to join their team in Sittard/Breda. You will guide and execute purchasing and tendering processes, translating internal needs into purchasing strategies and securing optimal contracts with suppliers.

Requirements: fluent Dutch and English (written and spoken), an HBO degree or Bachelor's in Procurement, at least 3 years in procurement with tactical purchasing experience, and an independent, proactive work style.

Job description

Our client is a leading Dutch organisation providing specialised care, education, and participation

support to children, young people, and adults with complex needs.

They are currently looking for a Buyer to join their team in Sittard/ Breda.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and executing purchasing and tendering processes.

You will translate the needs of internal clients into appropriate purchasing strategies and ensure

optimal contracts with supplier.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Identify the needs of internal stakeholders (such as managers and budget holders) and

translate these into appropriate procurement strategies.

• Draft an annual purchasing plan and calendar, and execute purchasing independently and
• Provide guidance for a procurement process and the project team, ensuring the

procurement process runs smoothly, and co-drafting tender documents and contracts.

• Structure and support the execution of contract management and supplier evaluations.
• Prepare or conduct negotiations with both existing and potential suppliers.
• Prepare management reports and identify market developments, which you translate into
• Contribute to organisation-wide projects and the further professionalisation of the

procurement function.

Candidate Profile:

• Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• You have relevant HBO degree, Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Purchasing or a related field.
• At least 3 + years of experience within the procurement field.
• You have tactical purchasing experience (not just on an operational level).
• Very good at working independently with a flexible approach and self-reflection.
• Proactive responsibility for self and team development.
• Experience with tenders is an advantage.

What Our Client Offers:

• Vacation hours: (for full-time | 36 hours per week): 144 statutory vacation hours and 57

hours of balance leave.

(maximum reimbursed commuting distance is 30 km one way).

• Travel allowance for business travel: temporarily €0.44 per km, normally €0.33 per km

(partially taxable & partially non-taxable).

• Reimbursement/facilitation of home office facilities: €750 including VAT per 5 calendar

years.
