Job summary

Profitap, a Dutch network monitoring specialist, seeks a Software Engineer to contribute across design, development, and testing. You will work closely with a mixed team of software and hardware engineers in R&D to build core solutions—from RESTful APIs to system facilities and traffic analysis components.

The role emphasizes C++ proficiency, Linux knowledge, and collaboration in a fast-growing, international environment.

Qualifications

• About 5 years of experience with modern C++ (14/17/20).
• Knowledge of modern C++ primitives for multi-threading and concurrency.
• Solid understanding of GNU/Linux system and kernel concepts, tools and libraries.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Experience with Google Test and Google Mock frameworks for unit testing is a plus.
• Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, GitLab, and Debian packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Involved in system design, development, and testing to shape Profitap products.
• Develop core solutions, from RESTful API logic to system facilities’ configuration.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers in R&D to deliver robust networking software components.
