Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to contribute to high-tech projects in complex software and embedded environments in the Netherlands. You will design, develop, and maintain robust software using C++ and Python, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable software delivery.

Requirements include a HBO/WO degree and a minimum of 3 years of C++ development experience, with strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Software Eng or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with C++ development.
• Experience with Python software development.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and software architecture.
• Experience with defensive coding and maintainable software.
• Familiarity with version control, build management, and CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus teamwork and communication.
• Proactive mindset with passion for technology and continual improvement.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
