With a nearly 70-year legacy that includes a Nobel Prize in Chemistry and our proprietary MoReTec recycling technology, LYB is enabling a more sustainable future for generations to come. LYB develops high-quality and innovative products for applications ranging from sustainable transportation and food safety to clean water and quality healthcare. LYB places high priority on diversity, equity and inclusion and is Advancing Good with an emphasis on our planet, the communities where we operate and our future workforce. We're addressing the global challenges of ending plastic waste, taking climate action, and supporting a thriving society, while generating value for our customers, investors, and society.

Come Join an Inclusive Team

The purpose of this role is to support the transformation of the Manufacturing organization by advising on and enabling end-to-end, cross-functional business processes that are standardized, simplified, scalable, automated, and cost-efficient, and that enhance both effectiveness and efficiency to help functions—including OE and HSE—achieve their objectives, aligned with respective strategies. You will be working in a team of 5 colleagues with no direct reports.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

The most meaningful improvements happen when business strategy, people, and technology come together. In today's environment, success is about more than optimizing individual processes. It requires understanding how work connects across functions, teams, and systems, and ensuring those connections create value for the business as a whole.

A large part of this work involves partnering with business leaders, subject matter experts, and frontline teams to identify opportunities for improvement. By listening to different perspectives and understanding challenges firsthand, it becomes possible to remove obstacles, simplify ways of working, and deliver solutions that make a real difference in day-to-day operations.

Equally important is maintaining a strong end-to-end process mindset, especially during large transformation initiatives such as SAP S/4. Effective change management, clear process ownership, and close collaboration across teams help ensure that improvements are not only implemented successfully, but are also embraced and sustained over time.

Creating lasting value goes beyond deploying new technology. It comes from understanding business needs, building strong partnerships, encouraging continuous improvement, and helping people navigate change with confidence. At its core, the goal is to create efficient, scalable, and future-ready processes that support growth, strengthen collaboration, and enable long-term success.

A Day in the Life

In this role the Business Process Efficiency (BPE) Consultant will connect with various functions in manufacturing, OE, and HSE with other functions like leads in S2P, D2S, R2R and Digital Technology for cross functional business process opportunities representing the value proposition of the Manufacturing, OE, and HSE organizations. Part of the core job responsibilities will be not only supporting the development of the changes but also the adoption of changes utilizing key Change Management principles and tools.

You Bring This Value
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related business function such as Engineering, Chemistry or Business Administration;
  • Process Re-engineering, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred;
  • Approximately 15+ years of experience in manufacturing and compelling evidence of delivering differential results through influential roles;
  • Knowledge of management systems and management modelling for quality management and continuous improvements, such as Lean, 6-Sigma or TQM;
  • Experience in a global, fast-paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business process management, including aspects such as process mapping, Business Process Model and Notation, process management, process metrics, benchmarking, and reporting analysis, etc.;
  • Ability to apply internal control considerations when evaluating, documenting, and improving cross-functional business processes;
  • SAP competency in the relevant functional areas (Project Management, Product Safety, Maintenance Management, Production Planning such as PPPI, and Quality Management);
  • Understanding of the key differences and considerations with working for operations of a global chemical company, across multiple regions, time zones, and cultures;
  • Fluent English language skills and other languages are preferred;
  • Computer literate, including and not limited to an understanding of concepts of data models, master data, data mapping software, etc.
