Job description

Drive sales growth and protect critical sites – translate account needs into high-impact radar solutions .

As our Business Development Manager, you manage and expand our portfolio of key customers in Military Aviation, for the implementation of bird-strike prevention and wildlife management radar technology at air bases and airfields. As a secondary priority, counter drone protection for the same market segment (Military Aviation) is handled by this role. You work side-by-side with Sales, Tech Sales, Service and Support, and Marketing – turning complex customer requirements into realistic proposals and closing strategic contracts. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you are the main point of contact for world-wide accounts (excl. North America) and play a direct role in protecting military assets, airspace and infrastructure.

What you'll do
  • Business Development, Account management and relationship building: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned global customers. Build long-lasting relationships, establish structured account plans, and ensure successful delivery on every order.

  • Sales generation and contract negotiation: Target new prospects while growing our existing customer base. Advise clients on complex radar applications, negotiate terms, and close new and renewal contracts to exceed annual sales targets.

  • Pipeline growth and global outreach: Drive sales opportunities through virtual and in-person meetings and/or live demonstrations with key stakeholders. Represent Robin Radar Systems at international trade shows, conferences, and marketing events to expand our lead pipeline.

  • Commercial forecasting and performance tracking: Monitor periodic key metrics, including sales results, customer profitability, and annual forecasts. Deliver accurate reporting to ensure long-term business alignment and steady growth.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Consult internally with Project Management, Bid Ops, Tech Sales, and Quality. Follow up on enquiries promptly to ensure customer needs are met and operational issues are resolved swiftly.

What you bring
  • BA or MSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 8-10 years in business development/account management, within an international or multi-cultural environment

  • Deep understanding of the military aviation sector as well as (military) government procurement processes

  • Prior experience with radar technology or aviation infrastructure is highly desirable

  • Fluency in written and spoken English for business (contract negotiations, proposal writing). Dutch language skills are a plus / preferred.

  • Analytical, proactive mindset with a sharp attention to detail and strong negotiation skills

  • Clear communicator across diverse cultures and technical backgrounds

  • Proven team player who also thrives when working independently

  • Willing to travel globally up to 40% for business meetings and industry events

N.B. Don't worry if you don't tick every box. Our mission is a journey, and there's plenty to learn along the way. If most of this fits, we'd love to hear from you.

A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a background check are part of our screening process. We appreciate your understanding.
