Business Central Consultant (Drenthe, Netherlands)
MUST SPEAK FLUENT DUTCH AND HAVE A VALID WORK VISA. THIS ROLE IS BASED 4 DAYS A WEEK ON-SITE.
About the Role
Do you want to play a pivotal role in shaping how an organisation uses ERP to drive smarter workflows? As a Business Central Consultant, you’ll become the go‑to expert for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform – optimising it, evolving it, and helping the business get the most out of it. You’ll work closely across teams to transform how we operate, boost efficiency and deliver real impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day administration, configuration and continuous improvement of Business Central.
- Analyse business processes, gather requirements and design tailored ERP solutions aligned with business needs – from finance and inventory through to sales, reporting and integrations.
- Implement updates, enhancements, and customisations; test, deploy and support releases.
- Provide user support, training and documentation – ensuring smooth adoption and high system satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (finance, operations, supply chain, IT) to translate their needs into efficient, scalable Business Central workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation (e.g. reporting, data flows, integrations) and help drive digital transformation across the organisation.
Who You Are
- Educated to a higher‑professional level (ideally in IT, Business Administration or similar).
- Have hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or legacy NAV), including configuration, support or functional consultancy. Even a few successful implementations make a difference.
- Strong analytical thinker with a keen eye for process efficiency and a drive to optimise systems.
- Excellent communicator, able to work across business and technical teams, explain solutions clearly, and deliver training or documentation.
- Bonus if you have familiarity with integrations, reporting tools or the broader Microsoft stack (e.g. Power Platform / Power BI / Power Automate) – this helps when designing modern ERP‑driven workflows.
What’s in It for You
- A varied, meaningful role where you will influence how the business operates and evolves its processes – not just “keeping the lights on”.
- Room to grow: as you master Business Central and ERP‑driven business optimisation, there are opportunities to take on strategic responsibilities.
- Chance to work across multiple departments – finance, supply chain, sales – giving you broad exposure and versatility.
- A collaborative environment that values initiative, knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement.
