For a major financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Business Architect Data & Analytics to support the development of enterprise-wide data products and AI-ready data capabilities.

The role focuses on shaping the target architecture for an enterprise data products domain, with a strong emphasis on standardization, scalability, data ontology, and enabling AI at scale. The architect will work closely with business, technology, architecture, and data teams to define strategic direction and ensure that data products deliver measurable business value.

Role Description

As Business Architect Data & Analytics, you will act as the architecture lead for the enterprise data products area. You will define and drive the target architecture, align it with product vision and business needs, and support the delivery of future-proof data and AI solutions.

You will work together with area leadership, technology leads, solution architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders. A key part of the role is to guide teams toward scalable, compliant, reusable, and business-driven architecture outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the strategic architecture direction for enterprise data products.
• Shape the architecture vision for AI-ready data and reusable data products.
• Support the development of enterprise-wide, domain-agnostic data products.
• Contribute to a shared enterprise data ontology to enable consistency, reuse, and scalability.
• Enable scalable AI use cases through high-quality, contextualized data products.
• Work with concepts and technologies such as knowledge graphs, data ontology, and Model Context Protocol.
• Collaborate with platform teams to standardize and automate data product delivery.
• Translate business needs into scalable architectural solutions.
• Align architecture strategy, principles, standards, and roadmaps across teams.
• Lead, mentor, and coach solution architects within the area.
• Influence senior stakeholders across business and IT.
• Translate market developments and innovation into strategic architecture direction.
• Ensure data and AI products are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business value.

Required Experience and Expertise

The ideal candidate has:

• 7+ years of relevant experience within data, analytics, architecture, or related domains.
• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise architecture or business architecture within a complex Data & Analytics environment.
• Experience in global or multi-business-line environments.
• Strong architecture vision on data products, AI-ready data, and data ontology.
• Deep understanding of business strategy, capabilities, value streams, and operating models.
• Ability to translate business objectives into scalable architectural solutions.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
• Experience coaching or mentoring solution architects.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data product delivery, and enterprise data foundations.

Preferred Knowledge

• Experience with enterprise data products.
• Knowledge of AI-ready data foundations.
• Understanding of knowledge graphs and semantic data models.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or similar AI/data integration concepts.
• Experience with computational governance and data product standards.
• Background in financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
