Job summary

De Plesman is een boetiekhotel in Den Haag met een Michelin-nominatie die op zoek is naar een gastvrije medewerker voor ontbijt en ochtenddiensten. Je start je dag met een glimlach, vult ontbijtbuffet aan en houdt het ontbijtgedeelte schoon tijdens de dienst.

Je communiceert met de keuken en deelt gastenfeedback om de ervaring te verbeteren. Je hebt 1–2 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol, spreekt Engels vloeiend en woont bij voorkeur in Den Haag.

Qualifications

• 1–2 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol.
• Ochtenddiensten mogelijk vanaf 06:00 of 07:00 uur; weekends en feestdagen.
• Engels vloeiend; Nederlands is een sterke plus.
• Bij voorkeur woonachtig in Den Haag.

Responsibilities

• Zorgen dat gasten de ochtend met een glimlach beginnen.
• Zorg dat ontbijtbuffet-items worden bijgevuld.
• Laat ontbijtgebied schoon en opgeruimd achter tijdens de dienst.
• Coördineer met de keuken en geef gastenfeedback door.
• Ondersteun andere food & beverage-gerelateerde taken indien nodig.
• Bied uitstekende service aan gasten en creëer een gastvrije sfeer.
• Assisteer bij à-la-carte lunchdiensten.

Job description

De Plesman opened its doors in March 2025 and has already earned a Michelin Key (which we’re secretly very proud of). We're a boutique hotel located in the former KLM headquarters in The Hague, honouring aviation pioneer Albert Plesman. The building’s history is reflected in every detail, from its architecture to its hospitality. Guests can enjoy an amazing dinner at Restaurant Suus, named after Plesman’s wife, or unwind at Albert Bar, named after Albert Plesman himself. A dynamic spot between the dunes and the city where The Hague’s heritage comes to life.

What will you be doing?

• Make sure that the guest start their day with a smile;
• Ensure breakfast buffet items are refilled;
• Keep the breakfast area clean and tidy throughout service hours;
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and relay guest feedback;
• Support other food and beverage-related tasks as required;
• Provide excellent service to guests, addressing their needs and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist with and participate in à la carte lunch service;

Small print

• You have 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role. You’ll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
• Flexibility to work morning shifts (starting 06:00 AM or 07:00 AM), including weekends and holidays
• You speak English fluently, Dutch is a strong plus
• You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague
