Job summary

De Plesman in Den Haag zoekt een gastvrije hospitality medewerker voor ontbijt- en lunchservice. Je hebt 1–2 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol, werkt ochtenddiensten van 06:00 of 07:00 en spreekt vloeiend Engels; Nederlands is een sterke plus.

Woon bij voorkeur in de buurt van Den Haag. Het gaat om een 7-maanden contract met kans op verlenging, met activiteiten voor het team en mogelijkheden tot ontwikkeling.

Qualifications

• 1–2 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol.
• Ochtenddiensten (start 06:00 of 07:00), in het weekend en op feestdagen mogelijk.
• Engels vloeiend, Nederlands is een sterke plus.
• Bij voorkeur wonen in de omgeving Den Haag.

Responsibilities

• Zorgen dat gasten de dag met een glimlach beginnen.
• Aanvullen ontbijtbuffet en het ontbijtgebied schoon houden.
• Coördineren met de keuken en gastenfeedback doorgeven.
• Ondersteunen bij en deelnemen aan à la carte lunchservice.
• Uitstekende service aan gasten leveren en een gastvrije sfeer behouden.

De Plesman opened its doors in March 2025 and has already earned a Michelin Key (which we're secretly very proud of). We're a boutique hotel located in the former KLM headquarters in The Hague, honouring aviation pioneer Albert Plesman. The building's history is reflected in every detail, from its architecture to its hospitality. Guests can enjoy an amazing dinner at Restaurant Suus, named after Plesman's wife, or unwind at Albert Bar, named after Albert Plesman himself. A dynamic spot between the dunes and the city where The Hague's heritage comes to life.

What will you be doing?

• Make sure that the guest start their day with a smile;
• Ensure breakfast buffet items are refilled;
• Keep the breakfast area clean and tidy throughout service hours;
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and relay guest feedback;
• Support other food and beverage-related tasks as required;
• Provide excellent service to guests, addressing their needs and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist with and participate in à la carte lunch service;

Small print

• You have 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role. You'll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
• Flexibility to work morning shifts (starting 06:00 AM or 07:00 AM), including weekends and holidays
• You speak English fluently, Dutch is a strong plus
• You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague
